TOD'S F/W 2026

Will need to switch to white wine only but that’s fine

Matteo Tamburini’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection for Tod’s was a masterclass in "look but don't touch—or breathe, or exist near a latte." The runway was flooded with an array of frothy whites and pristine creams that looked exceptionally expensive and even more fragile. While the "Italian Signature" show leaned heavily into the house's artisanal leather roots, the sheer volume of ivory pashmy leather and cream-toned wool turtlenecks felt like a personal dare to every red wine glass in Milan. It’s the kind of high-stakes fashion that demands a private jet and a sterile environment; one stray smudge on those oversized, sand-toned wrap skirts and the "quiet luxury" becomes a very loud dry-cleaning bill. The aesthetic is undoubtedly chic, but unless you plan on navigating the winter slush while hovering six inches off the ground, these pieces are effectively high-fashion landmines.
